Why you should upgrade to Android ICS right now!

I just got a chance to play a little bit with the latest version of Android, the Ice Cream Sandwich (API 15), and I can tell you, it has all that you want in your Android. Lots of lack features are now present and I fell a lot more comfortable to work with it now.

I always missed a screenshot feature, is something soooo basic that I never understand why we didn’t have that in Android since the beginning. Now we have this option! Yay!
To take a screenshot press the Volume Down button and the Power button for one second and voilĂ !

Disabling Apps

Another option that I always wanted is the possibility to disable an application. Why? Well, when you start your Android OS for the first time, it comes with some built-in apps, and that’s ok. But, sometimes you don’t like an app that comes with the device, so you install another one.
For example, I don’t like the default browser app, so I always install the Opera browser. The problem is that now I have 2 browser app, which is kinda annoying since I just need one.
Now you can disable an app, just press and hold the app icon, like if you were going to put it on the desktop, you’ll see an option App Info. Drag the icon there and you’ll see the disable option.

Developer Tools

On the Settings panel you have a Developer Options panel that brings lots of tools to help you debugging your app.

And there’s a lot more

Don’t need to tell you about the new UI that is awesome, resizable widgets and all the new features that comes in this new version.

If you don’t have money to buy a new brand device with ICS, take a look if there’s a ROM for your current device.
